Gill Coliseum

Gill Coliseum opened in 1949 and is the home of the men's basketball, women's basketball, and volleyball teams. OSU's nationally recognized gymnastics and wrestling programs also compete in the building. In addition, major concerts, NBA exhibition games, and other campus activities are routinely scheduled for the Coliseum.

Gill Coliseum is named after legendary coach and Naismith Hall of Fame member Amory "Slats" Gill. Gill coached the men's basketball program from 1929-64. Gill's playing surface was renamed Ralph Miller Court, for the contributions this Hall of Fame member made to the men's basketball program from 1971-89.

The building's seating capacity is 10,400 for basketball and volleyball, and varies for all other events.

Location and Directions

The Gladys Valley Gymnastics Center is located near the official entrance to Oregon State University. The facility is located on Jefferson Street just east of the Valley Library. Entrance to Jefferson Street is off of 15th street.

From Portland International Airport
*Take Interstate 205 South for approximately 25 miles. Interstate 205 ends at the Interstate-5 exchange. Proceed south on Interstate-5 (see directions below).

From Interstate-5
*Take the Highway 34 exit (approximately 5 miles south of Albany and 30 miles north of Eugene) and head west. Proceed 10 miles and look for signs for Reser Stadium and the Oregon Coast (turn left). Continue on Highway 34 over the Willamette River to the first stoplight. Turn right at the stoplight (14th Street) and follow through one stoplight, over the railroad tracks, to the second stoplight. Turn left at the second stoplight at the official entrance to the Oregon State University campus. The facility is on the right.

From Eugene Airport
*North on Highway 99 through Junction City, then left at north part of Junction City to continue on 99 North. Follow 99 North to Corvallis. Left on Western Blvd. (1st stoplight after Marys River bridge) and proceed to the second stoplight. Turn right at the stoplight (14th Street) and follow through one stoplight, over the railroad tracks, to the second stoplight. Turn left at the second stoplight at the official entrance to the Oregon State University campus. The facility is on the right.

Check-in/Pick-up Directions for Overnight Campers

From I-5 take Exit 228 (Corvallis, Oregon State University) and head West for 10 miles. As you come over the bridge into Corvallis you will be on Harrison Blvd. Follow Harrison to 30th. Take a Left on 30th. Make another Left onto Jefferson. Buxton Hall is one block down on Jefferson on your right.
